We host 15+ community events every month: workshops, trainings, political education sessions, F/Act Up news updates, candidate forums, and more — always designed to give people tools and power.
COMMITTEES & MEMBER POWER
We sustain the work of 5 active committees and support over 75 dedicated member-leaders, who attend several meetings each month. We provide space and resources to keep the work going strong.
GOVERNANCE ENGAGEMENT
We vet candidates, meet with electeds, and ensure community values shape who governs Buffalo.
POLICY ENGAGEMENT
We’re inside City Hall every week — tracking votes, showing up at hearings, advancing affordable housing, immigrant rights, food equity, and government accountability.
This includes leading community involvement in the 2026 Charter revision, one of the most important democratic projects in a generation.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
We invest in training and supporting local leaders, so the people most impacted by policy decisions are the ones shaping them.
ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY
Behind the scenes, we employ 3 contractors and provide the infrastructure needed for OCAB to keep operating smoothly and expanding its reach.
