THE PEOPLE'S PARTY
OUR CITY, OUR CELEBRATION
11.20.2025
Buffalo is rising—and so are we. Join Our City Action Buffalo for our inaugural fundraising party: a night of food, music, performances, and community power. Together, we’ll honor our history, celebrate our wins, and fuel the work for a just and thriving Buffalo.

A NIGHT WORTH CELEBRATING
Expect inspiring speakers, live performances, and moments that honor our city’s history while building momentum for its future. As you've come to know and love, OCAB is anything but traditional or boring. The night will be filled with love, laughter, and programming that keeps the energy up and the spirits flowing, from start to finish.

AWARD CELEBRATION
Honoring OCAB’s dedicated members who have poured their heart and soul into the organization, as well as those who have stood with us since Day One. Show us what democracy looks like! The People’s Award will be voted on the night of the event. You have to be there to win it.
SPOKEN WORD FEATURE
Lea The Teacha will take the stage with a powerful spoken word performance—class is officially in session.
CLOSING PERFORMANCE
To close out the night, in recognition of Trans Day of Remembrance, Curtis Lovell will share a healing moment and special musical performance.
PARTY ATTIRE
Sleek, celebratory, campaign-cool. Dress to impress, but dress for you.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Barrel Factory is a wheelchair accessible venue. ASL interpretation and other interpretation needs are available upon request. Requests must be made at least 5 days prior to the event.

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options are included, other dietary accommodations are also available.
RESERVE YOUR TICKET
By purchasing a ticket or sponsorship, you’re supporting the advocacy and organizing work of Our City Action Buffalo, a 501(c)(4) organization. Because of this status, your contribution is not tax-deductible—and that’s what gives us the power to fight for change where it counts.
If you’d like to make a tax-deductible gift, you can contribute to Our City Buffalo instead. Both pathways strengthen the movement, and we’re grateful for your support.

WHERE YOUR SUPPORT GOES
Our City Action Buffalo (OCAB) was founded on the belief that Buffalo belongs to all of us. We organize, we advocate, and we build community-led solutions for everything from housing and equitable development to fair maps and fair elections, and a seat at the decision-making table for everyday Buffalonians.
YOUR SUPPORT AT THE PEOPLE'S PARTY DIRECTLY FUNDS:

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
We give back by hosting, facilitating, and attending at least 15 community events each month. Recurring activities include:
-
Providing trainings and how-to workshops on power mapping and research to hold elected officials, corporate interests, bad actors accountable as well as fundraising.
-
Serving as a trusted community news source through F/Act Up, sharing critical updates and resources directly with the people.
-
Hosting candidate forums and meet and greets so voters can directly engage with candidates and the issues that matter most to them.

COMMITTEES & MEMBER POWER
We sustain the work of 5 active committees and support over 75 dedicated member-leaders, who attend several meetings each month. We provide snacks and sometimes dinner, resources, and space so our people can “feed our own” and keep the movement strong.

GOVERNANCE ENGAGEMENT
We actively participate in conversations with elected officials and vet every candidate running for office through the lens of OCAB’s values—ensuring community priorities shape Buffalo’s political future.

POLICY ENGAGEMENT
We stay rooted in City Hall, monitoring decisions, attending public meetings and hearings, and amplifying the needs of Buffalo’s people. This includes ongoing work to influence the 2026 Buffalo City Charter rewrite—a once-in-a-generation chance to reshape how our city is governed.
From pushing for affordable housing and food equity, to advancing immigrant rights, to demanding openness, transparency, and accountability, OCAB makes sure community voices aren’t just heard, but acted upon. Together, this work drives thousands of advocacy actions each year.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
We invest in training and supporting local leaders, so the people most impacted by policy decisions are the ones shaping them.

ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY
Behind the scenes, we employ 3 contractors and provide the infrastructure needed for OCAB to keep operating smoothly and expanding its reach.
TOGETHER, WE'RE SHAPING BUFFALO'S LEGACY.
Your ticket is more than entry to a party—it’s an investment in the future of our city.
